The Inspiration: Cold December
When I created the moodboard for December, I pulled from one of my all-time favorite places to be in the winter — the mountains of Colorado. There’s a very specific kind of beauty there when the temperature drops: the way the snow clings to every branch, how the evergreens stay bold against the white, and that stretch of icy blue lake water that almost looks like glass. Before the sun comes up, everything is tinted in the softest blush-pink light — like the sky is waking up in slow motion.
That feeling — the quiet, the chill, the softness, the stillness — is the full heartbeat behind Cold December. It’s not loud winter. It’s not holiday winter. It’s that first-breath winter morning that makes you stop, look around, and just take in how beautiful the cold can be.
