Re:Designed was founded in Denmark in 2003, growing out of years in the fashion industry and a deep love of handwork into a lasting commitment to durable leather and thoughtful, functional design.
In 2023 the brand launched Project — a collection made specifically for makers, with bags, cases, and organizers designed to keep knitting and crochet notions in order, wherever creativity happens.
Every Project piece starts at their studio in Denmark, from first sketches through leather selection and the placement of every pocket. From there, each bag is hand-cut, hand-waxed, and assembled by skilled artisans in India, with production verified through SMETA for fair labor and environmental standards.
The leather itself is a byproduct of the meat industry, responsibly sourced to EU animal welfare standards, dyed before finishing to preserve its natural texture, and hand-waxed to a soft, smooth finish — meaning no two bags are ever quite the same, and each one only gets better with age.
Project began with its designer and co-founder, Mia Brunbjerg Dahl, who rediscovered knitting during her first pregnancy and fell for the calm focus it brought. As her own project pile grew, she designed the storage she wished she had — and Project was born.
