Sample Maker Agreement

By applying to be a Sample Maker with Twisted Ambitions Yarn, you’re agreeing to the guidelines below. These help us keep samples consistent, high quality, and on schedule.

Yarn & Materials

• All yarn we send you belongs to Twisted Ambitions Yarn.

• It is provided only for the assigned sample project.

• You must use the exact yarn base and colorway provided.

• No yarn substitutions are allowed unless we approve them first.

• Please follow the pattern exactly — no changes unless we approve them.

Quality Standards

We use samples for photography, display, and education — so quality matters.

You agree to:

• Match the required gauge

• Swatch before starting

• Keep stitches neat and consistent

• Use proper techniques and finishing

• Weave in all ends cleanly

• Block the finished piece to final measurements

Samples that don’t meet quality standards may not be accepted.

Timeline & Communication

• Each project has a deadline that we agree on before yarn ships.

• You’ll confirm when you’re starting and your estimated finish date.

• If something delays you — just tell us. We’re human. We get it.

• If we don’t hear from you for 7 days in a row, we consider the project inactive.

Typical timelines:

Accessories: about 2–4 weeks

Sweaters: about 4–6 weeks

Large garments: about 6–8 weeks

Progress & Final Approval

• We may ask for progress updates during your project.

• Before you ship the sample back, you must send finished photos for approval.

• Please don’t ship until we say it’s approved for return.

Photo Requirements

Before return approval, please send clear, well-lit photos:

• One full flat lay

• One or two worn or styled photos (when applicable)

• One close-up detail shot

Natural light and neutral backgrounds work best.

Finishing & Condition

Returned samples must be:

• Fully finished

• Blocked and completely dry

• Clean and scent-free

• Free of pet hair and debris

• Presentation-ready

Samples that arrive damaged, heavily scented, or poorly finished may be rejected.

Shipping the Sample Back

• Always use tracked shipping.

• If we send you a prepaid label, please use it.

• Package the sample neatly and protect it from moisture (sealed inner bag).

• Ship within the approved return window after we give the go-ahead.

If You Can’t Finish

Life happens — just communicate.

• Tell us right away if you can’t complete the sample.

• Return all yarn and any work-in-progress within 7 days using tracked shipping.

If Yarn Is Not Returned

If yarn or samples are not returned and we don’t hear from you, we may invoice you for the retail value of the yarn and shipping costs.

Compensation

• Compensation is given after the sample is completed and approved.

• Payment is provided as a Twisted Ambitions Yarn shop gift card.

• Amount varies by project size and complexity.

Use of Samples

• We may photograph and use finished samples for marketing, education, and promotion.

• We’ll credit you when appropriate.

Legal Basics

• This agreement is governed by Oklahoma law.

• Submitting your application and signing means you agree to these terms.

Acknowledgment & Acceptance

Confirmed applicants must acknowledge acceptance of this agreement within the application by providing their signature and date.
